Results of 2007 Convention Silent Auction & Blood Drive

Many thanks to all of our brothers for attending the ZeteKidz Silent Auction at convention this year. All said and done at the end of the night over $2600 was raised for ZeteKidz. It is fantastic to see how much our brethren are willing to help those in need every year at our silent auction.

We would also like to thank all the brothers who volunteered time, energy, and blood to the American Red Cross Blood Drive at convention. We had 15 pints of blood accepted, and a great turnout from brothers willing to help out. Special thanks go to Andy Benton and Randy Jones for helping make the blood drive possible.

If you would still like to give blood, just call the Red Cross at 800-GIVE-LIFE to make a reservation over the phone.

A note from Tim Kennedy, President:

I am writing this from downtown Minneapolis. I suppose you have all heard and seen film of the bridge collapse here, barely ½ mile from my office. Perhaps you also saw that the Red Cross was in the thick of the rescue within minutes of the disaster. Their office building by the bridge’s broken southern end was the central point of triage and shelter. Hundreds of downtown residents flocked to the Red Cross volunteer their time, and came and called bringing food, supplies and money.

I am asking you for a similar response. Zete Kids USA will conduct a blood drive for the Red Cross in Lincoln. Please take just a few minutes to make a reservation.

Anywhere in the country, we have come to expect the Red Cross to assume a central role in any emergency. I know you will do your part make that possible.

Sincerely,

Tim Kennedy, Eta & Alpha Beta ‘81

President, Zete Kids USA
